A selection of some of our favourite Past Projects

On behalf of the Urban Renaissance Institute (URI), part of the SEEDA Regional Centre of Excellence and the University of Greenwich, we project managed a conference attended by developers, architects, urban designers, planners, and local authority officers. Speakers came from Reading Borough Council, Bristol City Council, DEGW/URI, the Municipality of Rotterdam, BDSP and English Heritage. We are currently developing an on-going relationship with URI and look forward to working to support events taking place through 2007.

Waterloo Brown has project managed the first two Welland Enterprise Agency Awards at the CLA Game Fair, Belvoir Castle and Burghley House. For the evening at Burghley House we worked with a local company to produce a short film to outline the work of all the nominees. We additionally played a role in overseeing the logistics for the selection process and worked on the evening to ensure that everything ran smoothly at this black tie event.

We are proud to support charities and to date have run three fundraising events for the Suzy Lamplugh Trust. Events were held at the Museum of Garden History and Stapleford Park Country House Hotel. The events include a wine tasting evening, a Charity Golf and Spa Day and a prestigious wine and canapés reception for which we had sourced sponsorship and raffle prizes to ensure maximum fundraising potential for this major event.

With several articles in the local press and magazines, Waterloo Brown not only raised funds for the charity at the Golf and Spa Day but also awareness of the work of the Trust. We were also delighted to organise a staff and trustees party for the Trust. Other charity work includes the event management for the 18th Annual Action Medical Research Golf Day at the Belfry.

Waterloo Brown delivered the third Home Zones Conference, Challenging the Future of our Streets, for the Jacobs Babtie Group, with support from the Department for Transport. This event was held at the Royal Geographical Society, London, receiving a full-page review in Local Transport Today. Waterloo Brown was delighted that Derek Twigg MP, the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Transport, was able to attend.

Other work includes a conference to Promote Good Practice for meeting the Public Transport Needs of Minority Ethnic and Faith Groups, on behalf of the Department for Transport, held at Tate Liverpool.

We have also provided help, support and advice for a number of parties and other private events, helping to source everything from marquees, tables and chairs, to chocolate fountains.
